Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information The Teal Firm collects through this website, by telephone, and by text message, how that information is used, and how it is protected.
Draft pending attorney review — to be reviewed and approved by Kendall Teal before publication.
Information collected through this website
The contact forms on this site ask for your name, telephone number, an optional referral source, and a description of your matter. Submitting a form also records the page you submitted from, your browser's user-agent string, the time of submission, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your network address. The hash is used only to limit automated and repeated submissions; it is not a usable address and is not used to identify you.
The forms do not ask for an email address, a date of birth, a government identifier, or financial information. Please do not include information of that kind in the message field.
Telephone and text message information
When you call the firm, we receive your telephone number and any information you choose to share during the call. If you text the firm's number, we receive your number and the content of your messages. Your wireless carrier may separately charge for messages; the firm does not use your number for marketing messages and does not sell or share it with third parties for marketing.
Notes of calls and copies of messages that relate to a potential or existing matter are kept in the firm's case files and handled under the confidentiality rules described below.
How intake information is used
Information you submit is used to evaluate the matter, to run a conflicts check, to contact you about your inquiry, and, if the firm accepts representation, to provide legal services. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not rented or traded.
Service providers and analytics
This site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider, and form submissions are stored in a managed database operated by the firm's hosting and backend providers under contract. Those providers process the information only to deliver the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
No advertising or behavioral tracking pixels are installed on this site. Where aggregate traffic measurement is used, it records page-level and device-level information only. The content of your form submission — your name, telephone number, and case description — is never sent to an analytics service.
Security and retention
Submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored in a database that is not readable from the public website; only the firm and its server-side systems can retrieve them. Access is limited to the firm. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and the firm cannot guarantee absolute security.
Inquiries that do not result in representation are retained only as long as the firm needs them to maintain its conflicts records, then deleted. Files for matters the firm accepts are retained under the firm's file-retention practices and applicable Georgia rules of professional conduct.
No attorney-client relationship from contact alone
Sending a message through this site, calling the firm, or texting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information sent before the firm agrees in writing to represent you may not be treated as privileged. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when the firm and the client sign a written engagement agreement. Please do not send confidential or sensitive details until representation has been confirmed in writing.
Nothing on this site is legal advice, and prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Your choices
You may ask the firm what information it holds about you, ask for a correction, or ask that an inquiry record be deleted where the firm is not required to keep it. Requests are handled using the contact details below.
