Kendall Teal doesn’t just show up to court—she wins. She’s tried—and won—cases involving rape, aggravated child molestation, armed robbery, and felony drug charges. When prosecutors see her name on a case, they know they’re in for a fight.
Kendall made history in Georgia as the first attorney to win a DUI-drug jury trial where the driver had a positive THC blood test and admitted to smoking 30 minutes before getting behind the wheel. Her creative legal argument not only convinced a jury—it set a new precedent in Georgia DUI defense. That’s not just experience—that’s leadership in criminal law.

Before law school, Kendall served her community as both a firefighter and a military veteran—a background that forged the grit and discipline she brings into every courtroom. She earned her law degree from Emory University School of Law, ranked among the top 20 law schools in the country for over 100 years. While in law school, she earned the highest grades in both legal writing and torts, was trained by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and served as a judicial intern in Fulton County Superior Court for Judge Paige Reese Whitaker.

Tara brings a rare combination of medical expertise, conflict resolution skills, and client-centered focus to our criminal defense team in Douglasville, Georgia. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Tara spent nine years as a Registered Nurse in a high-pressure Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit, treating patients with strokes, brain injuries, and other complex neurological conditions. That frontline medical experience sharpened her ability to stay calm under pressure, solve high-stakes problems, and communicate clearly in moments of crisis.
Today, Tara applies those same strengths to help our clients navigate the criminal justice system. She plays an essential role in defending clients charged with DUI, drug possession, vehicular crimes, and other serious offenses—especially those involving allegations of impairment or mental health concerns. Her medical insight is a powerful asset when building defense strategies, challenging forensic evidence, or exposing flaws in the prosecution’s case.
